Letter to fathers ..

"The reason I decided to do a book like this is because of my own relationship with my father. Up until the birth of my daughter, Kamiya, my dad and I had a very rocky relationship. It always felt good to hear from others who were going through similar situations because I didn’t feel so alone. My intent is to gather letters from daughters of all age groups and turn it into a book, not only to show that we are not alone when it comes to a relationship with our fathers (whether good, bad or in between), but to encourage daughters and hopefully give insight to fathers on what a vital role they play in the lives of their daughters. There is no minimum or maximum to this. All I ask is that you truly open up your heart and write everything you ever wanted him to know…the good, the bad and the ugly and why. Whether it’s all love, hate, a mixture of the two, confessions, etc. I just want it to be genuine. So whether it takes you a paragraph or five pages…GO FOR IT! The SOONER you can send it to me the BETTER. After I receive your letter, I will email you a waiver form that is simply stating that you give me the permission to use your letter in the book and that once it is published, you agree that you will not receive any compensation, as this is being done voluntarily on your part. As a reminder, unless you specifically request in writing for your real name to be attached to your letter, all names will be changed or omitted. I really do thank you for helping me make this big goal of mine a success. It truly means a lot to me! Of course if you have any questions you can email me at aniyah.carter@yahoo.com
